With so many on offer these days, it is great to have a name you can trust. This item is certainly that and will be a perfect buy. The distributor have added some great touches and this equals great value.

Great deal
Microwave works great. Cooks faster than my last Whirlpool at same wattage (that died less than two years in and was more to fix than to replace). Fits standard opening fine. Easy to install if you know your way around tools, studs, drills, etc, otherwise you may want some help. Two-person job regardless. Buttons work a little strange but easy to get used to. Very quiet when cooking. Light and fan are good. Only complaint is the door is very loud and tight when opening and closing it. Makes me wonder if it won't cause issues down the road. For $149 its a great deal for an Over the Range model and with a 4 year protection plan at only 29.99 because of the price its worry free. Will update if issues arise.

Haier HMV1630 Over the Range Microwave
Arrived previously -- great job with the packaging. Didn't install it right away, but was notified by Amazon that the price got lowered by over 10% right after I purchased. :-(
The frustrating part was that the notification arrived less than a day after I took delivery.
Unpacked the microwave and had little problems figuring out how to install it. I had put in the old one which is now dead -- Whirlpool Stainless OTR Microwave didn't even give two years of use. Probable cost of repair does not justify keeping it. This Haier is nicer than that Whirlpool, albeit black, not stainless, like the old one. They are almost exactly alike mount-wise. Even where the cord goes through the cabinet is virtually the same spot.
Beware, though, if you're replacing a Whirlpool with a Haier, the hole pattern is almost identical in some of these models as I found out, and if you are not careful, the holes will be so close to the old ones that held on the Whirlpool, you...

After searching and putting the Haier HMV1630DBBB 30-inch Over-The-Range 1000 Watt Microwave, Black on my save list via Amazon. I waited for one more week of sales ads via newspaper & online. I still couldn't find a better deal with free shipping straight to my door, plus no taxes. Best Deal for the money...
