Can't See Inside, Poor Pre-sets, Noisy
This microwave looks nice on the counter, if you keep a polishing rag nearby to remove your fingerprints after each use. However, the window is very tinted and has so much protective screening that you can't see if your beverage or soup has started boiling. It might as well not have a window. It is deeper, wider, and taller by about 2" in each dimension than the cheaper microwave it is replacing, though the turntable is exactly the same size. It is also a lot noisier. This is the first time I've owned a microwave w/ a stainless case, which may transmit the fan and motor sounds more than plastic cases do, idk. The beeps it makes when you set it and when it's done cooking are also loud.
Poor pre-sets: The auto reheat & cook functions have instructions hidden in an interior sticker. These pre-programmed functions are all just different times at high power, instead of programmed to heat items through optimally by combining different stages at different power levels--not...

Pretty good!
This review is for the Frigidaire FFCM0934LS 0.9 Cu. Ft. Countertop Microwave - Stainless Steel. I bought this microwave at a local Brandsmart store a couple of weeks ago and it's been working great since then. I does what is intended to do, and does it well. Minor flaws that annoy me so far: The light is weaker than the 3-year-old GE it replaced, with the door closed you can hardly see anything inside. It takes more time to heat up/cook food since it is more energy savvy (I knew this but it might be an annoyance for some people) The door is very hard to open, you must hold the microwave while pushing the door's button so the whole thing doesn't move out of place. Other than that it is a good buy, only time will tell if it is durable.
Quiet and heats evenly
I purchased this .9 cu. ft. oven because the outside dimensions are perfect for my available cabinet space. The oven, to my ears, is very quiet compared to similar countertop models I've used over the years. It heats evenly - popcorn pops thoroughly without burning and frozen dinners do not have cold spots. The oven, in my opinion, is very handsome - it has a clean, elegant appearance, unusual among ovens of this size and price range. Unfortunately, to achieve the darkened "Darth Vader" look tinted glass was used on the door which makes viewing while cooking very difficult. A higher wattage interior light would have helped. The touch pad is also hard to read unless the room is brightly lit (I have taken to keeping a small flashlight near the oven for late night snacks). The more important point is that the oven works well and looks great, unlike many of the small microwaves out there. I use my microwave ovens a lot (4 or 5 times daily) and my last one gave me 4 years before giving up...
