BEWARE - Microwave lasted less than one year and Oster has a painfully difficult warranty
My wife and I are still in the process of using the Oster warranty for a microwave that started having minor issues within a year of purchase. When we contacted them to sort out the details of getting the faulty microwave replaced, the sent us the list of requirements. The company requires you to mail them (at cost to you) a section of the power cord that you must cut off the micro, as well as the broken pieces (that you must break) of the turntable from inside the machine. You also need to dig up your receipt from nearly a year ago, if you are lucky enough to have it and send that along with the paper they send affixed with stickers you need to peel off the back of the micro. Then you need to send all this to Canada, so enjoy the cost of shipping that you have to pay. For all this and the fact that their machine did not last a single year working properly, I would advise avoiding Oster machines in general and Microwaves specifically.

inexpensive microwave oven
I bought this microwave oven to replace my old Westinghouse that expired after many years of use. This serves as a second microwave oven in my kitchen and so far we are very pleased with it. I liked the old heavier ones better because they stay put when you push the button to open them, but this one is backed up to the backsplash of my counter so it doesn't move anyway. It is a good one for the price; remains to be seen if it will last as long as the old one did :-)
Perfect
Love it. The only option I don't like it the beeping reminder every few seconds if I don't take my food out immediately, but I can see where many people would like that option.
