Heavy duty, top of the line Micro-Go-Round is for mid and full size ovens. Automatic start/stop wieght activated switch automatically starts unit when food is placed on it. Runs 30 minutes without rewinding. Proudly made in the USA by Nordic Ware.NordicWare's handy Microware TM series for the microwave gives home chefs the tools they need for clean, lean, and fast cooking. This 10-inch Micro-Go-Round turntable eliminates the infamously uneven heating that can turn soup into a risky escapade (will the next sip be scorching or cold?) or transform a frozen dinner into, well, something still half frozen. Weight-activated to begin rotating, the roomy round tool has a steady spring-powered movement that capitalizes on the active microwaves to cook all parts of food equally. An internal reflecting disc also helps by directing heat up into the underside of food. Suitable for midsized and large microwave ovens, the Micro-Go-Round is a smart, space-efficient solution-perhaps sometimes it is a good idea to recreate the wheel. --Kara Karll
With so many on offer these days, it is great to have a name you can trust. This item is certainly that and will be a perfect buy. The distributor have added some great touches and this equals great value.

Works but breaks easily
My experience was not as good as the other reviewer. This is a very handy thing to have if you don't have a microwave with a built-in turntable. It works well, but it is a bit slow and makes a loud noise as it's spinning. Also, some things are just too light to make it turn. To combat this, I put lightweight items on a heavy plate. The downside is that it breaks very easily if you overwind it. And there's no real gauge for winding, no apparent stopping point. I usually tried to underwind it on purpose. But I guess I wound it a half a spin to far one day and there's no way to fix it. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a better alternative short of buying a microwave with a turntable. So in summary:
Pros: Works well when it works. Heats food evenly
Cons: Breaks easily; Light weights won't make is spin

Nordic Ware Micro Go Round
I disagree with the bad reviews on this product. The item does have a replacement warranty, so what's the problem ?? I bought the first one before microwaves even came with a turntable built in (20+ yrs. ago). I'm on my second one (replaced under warranty after about 10 years). The current one is about 10 yrs. old and it gets lots of use. It's finally giving out again and time to maybe buy a new one this time. I think Nordic Ware has met their obligation.
Long time user tells how to fix problems...
I've had mine for years & bought several as gifts for family & friends. Several times over the years mine has been accidentally overwound & stopped rotating. I discovered that if you remove the three small plastic pins (using needlenose pliers) that hold the thing together, you are then able to unwind/reset the spring inside & get the thing going again. It's been a couple of years since I had ours apart, so I don't remember exactly what's inside, but once you remove the bottom, it'll be pretty self-evident what you need to do to get it working again. Once you've done this, put the top and bottom back together, line up the three plastic pins, insert them & you're in business again. This technique has never failed to get our turntable working again. Try this self-repair tip to avoid tossing a very nice and handy kitchen tool in the trash.
