Oven: Good. Installation: Problematic.
I had an older GE microwave above my range that died after about 8 years. When looking for a replacement I decided to go for another similar GE in order to swap it out easily, figuring it would use similar hardware. That was my first mistake.
There's a steel plate used to mount the oven on the wall plus three big screws that go in from the cabinet on top. Not only is the plate different (requiring removal of old & installation of the new), not only are the anchor points in different places (requiring new holes), but they're placed just marginally off the old anchor points. Meaning that the integrity of the wood where you need to drill is compromised from the old screw holes. It required me to install a whole new shelf in the upper cabinet as well as trying my best to fill the old stud holes with wood filler and hoping it would be strong enough when I re-drilled.
Here's the kicker... the installation hardware comes with butterfly screws as well as two thick wood...

So Far, So Good
The GE Profile Micro/Convection oven I had installed two weeks ago has been great so far. First, the programming panel has a dial knob (turn and set the cook time from 15 sec on up). It took some getting used to, but I like it. Not only can you microwave food, you can bake cookies/cook a roast just as you would in a regular oven. When using the convection/bake/cook, the two heavy duty cooking racks are a nice addition (remove when microwaving). The turn table is glass; I would prefer metal. When food is done, four beeps let you know - three beeps too many. Digital instructions on the panel often tell you what to do next. For example, if you are defrosting, at mid point, you will see "Turn Food Over." Nice feature. The GE Profile is roomy (and heavy 83 lbs) with a clear view of what is cooking inside. Also,the microwave power level can be changed. I left mine as it came from factory - a cup of water that took 3 mins 25 seconds to boil in my old (Sharp Convection) micro took 3 mins...

Wow, Wow, Wow! I was somewhat concerned about purchasing a microwave over the internet, but how great it was. I was even more than satisfied with the product it looks wonderful and works great as well. The price was less than the one we saw in the store and the delivery time was faster than what the computer stated. I had it install the same day and I am very happy about this product and the overall purchase. I know you will too.
