Get a Kenmore instead
I got this model because it was inexpensive and GE has a good reputation. Also, microwave ovens are a pretty much a commodity. It really doesn't matter which one you get. All units with the same amount of power work the same way. They all have carousels.

The problem with this model is that the keypad is very stiff. I have to press each key very firmly, sometimes more than once to get it to register. If I can find the packing, I may return it. I should have gotten a comparably sized Kenmore, like the one we have in the office.

Works great
What can I say, it's a microwave. It is powerful for a smaller countertop - Much more powerful than a larger one I own. A nice surprise.
